On the planet Aldanrey in the Barnard's Star system, 6 light-years from our sun, the calivenians live their simple lives in harmony with nature and each other. Our solar system, in the near future. Private companies are in the process of establishing mining operations on Mars. The project is in its very early stages when they accidentally discover the wreckage of an ancient, alien spaceship. As scientists start investigations of the wreckage, a secret experiment is being carried out on Earth. In an advanced laboratory attached to an abandoned part of the research center CERN, a girl is born with 45% extraterrestrial DNA and a number of special characteristics.
At the same time, a group of archaeologists find some old goatskin scrolls in the ruins of a monastery in India. The inscription on the scrolls tells of an unknown civilization in need, and the message is interpreted as a desperate plea for help. As these events intertwine, a rescue operation unparalleled in our galaxy's history begins. And while our known laws of physics are being stretched to new limits, time is running out for Aldanrey.
